Cindy is from Monticello, MS. Upon graduating from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, she established her own business in the reservoir area specializing in Cosmetology. She served a diverse customer base for over 22 years as the owner/operator of her own salon. During this time she was able to develop many communication skills, and learned how to take a client’s vision and turn it into a reality.
Following her Cosmetology career, Cindy worked along side her husband, and long time builder, Jimmy Johnston. For 9 years, Cindy served as an interior designer for Jimmy Johnston Construction, LLC. During this time she developed an appreciation for style, project management, custom construction as well as meeting her client’s needs. She has spent the past 4 years working as an Interior Designer for DeRuiter, Johnston, & Steen Construction, LLC. Cindy’s commitment to excellence in customer service as well as her depth of experience in custom construction is what led her to pursue a career in the real estate industry.
Cindy is a member of Pinelake Church, where she spent 17 years serving in the children’s ministry as a Middle School/ High School small group leader. In her free time you can find Cindy sharing time with her daughter in Oxford MS, or walking her beloved Maltese
